Our Mission

It is IPVA’s mission to create a platform of exposure for athletic development, college scholarship opportunities, and personal growth for every player. Coaches emphasize the importance of leadership, development of individual skills, team participation and a positive work ethic. We encourage our athletes to be active role models in the community, classroom and on the court. This vision builds confident people/athletes who will positively contribute to communities throughout their lives.

Proven Results

Iowa Power Volleyball  Alliance alumni can be seen at Iowa State, UNI, Drake and the University of Iowa, as well as other schools all across the Country. In the past, Iowa Power Volleyball teams have finished as high as 1st at Nationals and 1st at Qualifiers. IPVA U18's won Nationals in 2017. IPVA consistently gets teams to nationals every year. All IPVA players are given the opportunity to find a collegiate career.

Great exposure

Iowa Power Volleyball Alliance provides playing opportunities at many National Qualifiers. Teams can be found at Presidents Day Omaha, Northern Lights Minneapolis, Show Me Kansas City, Cross Roads Denver and Iowa Regionals. In addition, opportunities are sought to play top competition in local events. These types of tournaments draw many college coaches from all levels looking to recruit players.

Player Expectations

  • Appreciate parents time and financial commitment
  • 100% Effort on court, bench, and in practice
  • Education before sport. Volleyball is great, but a great education is paramount

Parent Expectations

  • As we request for athletes to respect your time commitment, we ask you do the same for them.
  • We never mind having parents in the gym to watch and help shag.
  • As we ask for athletes to put education first, we ask you to help your athlete through their time commitments.

Excellent Training

Many IPVA coaches have high school or college level coaching and/or playing experience. Teams train up to three times per week and compete in many qualifying tournaments. We place our teams in a variety of different tournaments that fit the teams need. Some examples tournaments frequently go to would be Presidents Day in Omaha and Northern Lights in Minneapolis.

Individual and Team Growth

At IPVA it is not only our mission to create great volleyball players, but also help build character and life skills on and off the court, such as:

  • Communication, interaction, responsibility, and time management.
  • Vast improvement in leadership and overcoming adversity
  • Excellent opportunity for collegiate scholarships
  • Assist athletes in achieving success in their school volleyball programs

The IPVA Difference

At IPVA we train our athletes to learn and think about the game rather than following the orders of their coach. We also provide skills training through a variety of different camps, clinics and private lessons.  At IPVA we make sure that all our athletes who aspires to play collegiately are prepared mentally and physically.

Our Facility

Our facility is located at 6290 NE Industry Drive, Unit C, Des Moines, where we have three full volleyball courts.
